Meet the Mister Supranational India 2021

Rahul Rajasekharan has been officially named Mister Supranational India 2021 on June 8,2021. After competing in a nationwide virtual hunt, set in motion to select India’s official entry at Mister Supranational 2021, Rahul Rajasekharan from Kerala secured the ultimate nomination and will be representing his country on the international stage.

In light of the evolving pandemic situation that has crippled our country, the Miss India Organization took a conscious decision to pursue the digital course and limit its operations to virtual screening and online interviews, thereby presenting a conducive opportunity to the aspirants to participate and win from the comfort of their homes.

With over 1000 registrations received in a brief span, the applicants were invited to appear for a round of rigorous interviews. The first set was judged by a host of industry experts and former titleholders, namely Jitesh Thakur: Mister Supranational 2016 2nd Runner-Up, Bharat Gupta: Fashion Stylist, Prasad Bidapa: Fashion Choreographer, and NoyonitaLodh: Miss Diva Universe 2014.

The shortlisted candidates were further summoned for the second round of interview, chaired by an elite bench of celebrated personalities, that included the likes of PrathameshMaulingkar: Mister Supranational 2018, Gerhard Von Lipinski: President, Miss & Mister Supranational, Andre Sleigh: Mister Supranational Creative Director, Natasha Grover: Brand & Operations Head and National Director- International Pageants, Miss India Organisation, and SrinidhiShetty: Miss Supranational 2016.

Rahul outshined all his fellow contenders on the judging parameters to emerge as the most desirable, attractive and charismatic man, eventually winning the coveted nomination to participate in Mister Supranational contest to be held in August 2021 in Poland.

The self-made personality, having roots in Kerala, was born and raised in the garden city of Bangalore. After pursuing his Bachelors in Business Management, Rahul worked in the corporate world before switching his complete focus towards his passion for modeling and acting. He stood true to his calling and participated in Mr. India 2015 contest and won the 1st Runner-Up position. Rahul honed his craft at acting and successfully made his debut in the Malayalam film Industry with Diwanjimoola Grand Prix (2018), followed by VaraneAvashyamund (2020). Both the films were declared superhits and garnered rave reception from the cinema fraternity.

On being asked about his remarkable victory, Rahul said, “To be honest, I never imagined that I would represent India on a global platform. I participated in 2015 and ended up being a Runner-Up and as a result of which I wasn’t chosen for the international pageant. I got to know about this year’s audition and I immediately latched on to the opportunity. It was my final attempt since I won’t stand eligible next year owing to the age criteria. As a matter of fact, I had given couple of attempts in past for the title and it went in vain. I had given it my all and to my good fortune, it worked out pretty well. It’s a matter of great pride to able to represent India and it comes with its share of responsibilities. I am confident and committed to put forward my best foot forward under the able mentorship of my experts and trainers. I’m really excited and looking forward to this amazing journey. I hope and wish for the best.

Apart from being an actor, the stunning gentleman is also an athlete who is passionate about traveling and exploring the world in a bid to learn more about life, worldviews and cultures.

Rahul, currently in the United Arab Emirates, has officially taken over the title from his predecessor, Mister India Supranational 2019 Varun Verma.
