Dominican Republic wins The Miss Globe 2022

Anabel Payano Pichardo was crowned Miss Globe 2022 on October 15, 2022, at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Skanderberg Square, Tirana, Albania. The representative of Dominican Republic beat 49 other beautiful contestants to win the coveted crown and to succeed the last year’s titleholder, Maureen Montagne from Philippines.

Based in Mao Adentro, Valverde, Dominican Republic, she is originally from Santiago de los Caballeros, Santiago, Dominican Republic. The 19-year-old newly crowned Miss Globe works as a professional model.

In 1990, she graduated from Colégio Maria Tereza in Recife, Brazil. She later attended the Instituto Politécnico del Noroeste (INPONOR) in Mao, Dominican Republic and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santiago de los Caballeros. She began her modeling career at a young age. It is because she has been interested in modeling since her childhood. In July 2020, she signed with Agnes Models Agency in the United States. She is also signed with Munich Models in Germany, Elite Paris in France, Trend Model Management in Spain and Nefer Model Management in the Dominican Republic. She mode her debut with Balenciaga at Paris Fashion Week in 2022.

She is fluent in Spanihs and English.
