Vermont have two new beauty queens
Alexina Federhen was crowned Miss Vermont 2022 while Abagail Hunter won the title of Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen, at the end of the pageant, held on April 24, 2022 at The Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph, Vermont.

The Miss Southern Vermont bested 6 other candidates to succeed Miss Vermont 2021 Danielle Morse and won the opportunity to represent her country at the upcoming edition of Miss America pageant, later this year.
Alexina is a Senior design student at the Cornell University.
She is not a newbie to pageantry. She represented Vermont at the USA Ambassador 2012. She was Miss Vermont Junior High School America 2013, and Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen 2014. At Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2015 pageant, she won Miss Photogenic Award. She finished first runner-up at Miss Vermont Teen USA 2016 pageant.

Miss Rutland County’s Outstanding Teen bested 4 other candidates to succeed Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen 2021, Emma Anderson and to represent Vermont at the 2023 edition of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant this summer in Orlando.
Abagail is currently a senior at Poultney High School, and in the fall will be attending Castleton University majoring in Theater Arts and Business. Her talent is dance, and she is passionate about dance has been taking dance lessons for 15 years. This year Abagail was captain of her cheer team at Poultney High School. Her team recently placed third in the state cheer competition!
