Tiffany Colleman wins Miss Trans Star International 2022

Tiffany Colleman was crowned Miss Trans Star International 2022 at the end of  pageant, held on March 12, 2022 in the coastal town of Santa Susanna in Catalonia, Spain. Miss Trans Star International returned after a hiatus of two years.The representative of Nicaragua bested 27 other beautiful candidates to win this crown and to succeed Miss Trans Star International 2019 Ava Simões from Angola. Established in 2010, this pageant aim to bring more visibility to the transgender community and to carry a message of inclusion, tolerance, respect, love and struggle for equal rights.  Miss Mexico Ivana Diaz was announced as first runner-up, while Miss Venezuela Sofia Colmenarez was second runner-up in one of the most prestigious international beauty contests for transgender women.

During the finals, the  six finalists were asked to answer one question: What does it mean to be an activist today?

Special awards were also bestowed to Miss Vietnam (Miss Elegance), Miss Indonesia (Miss Congeniality), Miss Uruguay (Miss Evolution), Miss Singapore (Miss Top Model), Miss Brazil (Best in National Costume), Miss Russia (Miss Popular Vote) and Miss Italy (Best in Evening Gown).
