The representative of Valencia crowned Miss Universe Spain 2022
The 14 representatives of all the Autonomous Communities have traveled to the south of Tenerife to aspire to represent Spain before the Universe. At the end of the pageant, the representative of the Valencian Community, Alicia Faubel, has prevailed over her rivals. She was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2022 on September 10, 2022, at the Los Olivos Beach Resort in Tenerife. She succeeds Miss Universe Spain 2021 Sarah Loinaz from Guipúzcoa and becomes the new official representative of Spain at the next edition of Miss Universe pageant, in 2023.
After her crowning, she share her joy on Instagram: “One of the most special moments in my life. I cannot describe in words the feeling of happiness and gratitude that I find myself in right now. I have the honor of being your Miss Universe Spain 2022. And it is a privilege. I want to dedicate this crown to all my colleagues who have had the pleasure of sharing these days with her, because they understand the preparation, effort and sacrifice behind the scenes. I will give the best version of myself on behalf of all of them to be able to represent Spain in the best possible way. You would never have been able to achieve it without the support of so many of you. You are my engine and motivation. Thank you for the love, support and affection that I am receiving.”
The newly crowned Miss Universe Spain has studied acting and currently works as a model. Her hobbies include sports, fashion, reading, and music.

In a post on Instagram Alicia said: “Many people have asked me why I have entered this beauty pageant. Today we had the interview with the jury and I was able to express that Miss Universe is an INSPIRATION for me. Thank you Miss Universe Spain for motivating me to reach my best version of myself, to achieve my goals and to prove to myself that I am capable of overcoming many fears.”

1st runner-up – Laura Etayo Sarasa (Navarra)
2nd runner-up – María Alexandra Cucu (Andalucia)
3rd runner-up – Susana Lucía Medina Martín (Canarias)
4th runner-up – Paula Ortega Madarieta (Cataluña)
5th runner-up – Noemí Sartal Loira (Galicia).
