Telma Madeira crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2022

Telma Madeira was appointed to represent her country at the next edition of Miss Universe pageant, after the franchise was acquired by Miss Queen Portugal, the same organizer who sends Portuguese delegates to Miss Earth pageant. The organization, thus, crowned Telma Madeira as Miss Universe Portugal 2022 on the program Conversa de Mulheres. She was crowned by Jackie Carvalho, the director of CNB Portugal. Telma succeeds Miss Universe Portugal 2021 Orícia Dos Santos.

Miss Queen Portugal organization, through their official social media, announced that no national competition will be held this year considering the calendar forecasts for Miss Universe 2022.

Not a newbie to pageantry, Madeira represented Portugal at Miss Earth 2018 where she was adjudged Top 8 at the event finale.
