Sheesha Sahibdin crowned Miss India Worldwide Suriname 2022

Sheesha Sahibdin was crowned Miss India Worldwide Suriname 2022, during a gala, held on May 29, 2022.  She herself did not expect to handle this title. “Everyone has done their best, what actually happened has to sink in for a while. I don’t think I’ll realize it until the next day,” Sahibdin says in disbelief. Sahibdin has charmed the judges and the audience with her dance, which has also won her the subtitle of best talent.

Miss India Worldwide is a beauty pageant with competitors from India and the Indian diaspora in other countries. It is led by the Festival Committee of India in New York.  The 28-year-old newly beauty queen will represent Suriname in June at the international pageant to be held in the United States.

Sahibdin has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.

1st runner-up – Shaminy Ragoebier

2nd runner-up – Kirtie Sewgolam

On the same night, the Miss Teen India Worldwid Suriname has been awarded in Suriname for the first time. The winner is Chiquita Malaha, a 17-year-old high school student. , Malaha has also won the subtitle as the best talent among the young people. Malaha did a vocal performance of a golden oldies Hindi song. Malaha indicates that she consciously chose the song. “Besides being beautiful, the song also tells about the secrets of life to enjoy life,” says the young miss proudly.
