Roberto Carlos Molina crowned Mr. Gay España 2022
The 15th edition of Mr. Gay Pride España pageant took place on July 8, 2022, in the Plaza de Madrid after two years of hiatus during the LGBT+ Pride celebrations. At the end of the pageant, Roberto Carlos Molina was crowned Mr. Gay España 2022 (aka Mr. Gay Pride España 2022). The representative of Murcia bested 14 other candidates to succeed Mr. Gay Pride España 2019, Zabdiel González. He expects now to compete at the new edition of Mr Gay World pageant. The 26-year-old new crowned Mr Gay España was born in Lanzarote, a territory that is part of the Canary Islands. From the age of 5 he moved to Murcia, region of which he was the representative during the national pageant. Actually, he is not the first participant from this region to win, as Ángel Cervera was Mr. Gay Pride Spain 2011 and also did it representing Murcia.
Recently graduated in Law, this young man lives in Barcelona, where he works. He thinks that having a health goes beyond just the body, he also gives priority to mental health. He is a person who enjoys meditation and the topics of psychology and personal growth.
On his Instagram account, the winner of Mr. Gay Pride Spain 2022 has uploaded photos with puppies. One of them is special, because it is a Dalmatian that constantly appears in his profile, it is called Pongo.

Roberto believes that this contest goes far beyond the physical, because he believes that beauty is not everything in this world. One of his missions in participating was to vindicate the role that whoever wins this contest should have, so we can expect a lot of activism in favor of the gay population after his triumph.
In this regard, he mentioned:
“I consider that this pageant represents much more than just a beauty pageant. I am able to perceive all the emotional, emotional, historical, struggle and vindication that is behind this contest. In a way, the representative should not only be a handsome and photogenic boy.”

2nd runner-up – Nauzet Navarro (Canarias)
