Philippines wins Miss International Queen 2022

Fuschia Anne Ravena of Philippines was crowned Miss International Queen 2022. The contest was held on June 25, 2022, in Pattaya, Thailand. The 27-year-old business owner beat 22 other contestants for the crown and to succeed Miss International Queen 2020,  Valentina Fluchaire from Mexico. The pageant, described by organizers as the world’s largest beauty pageant for transgender women, which was halted for almost two years because of the pandemic, resumed in the Thai seaside town of Pattaya during Pride Month to also celebrate gender equality, said Alisa Phanthusak, the CEO of Miss Tiffany Show, the organiser.

During the final question and answer portion, the candidates were asked how they would teach the importance of equality should they win the pageant. Ravena’s winning answer was: “I will start it by influencing other people to spread love, peace, and unity to have world equality because after all we live under one sky. And we breathe the same air. And we all live from differences where love is universal.

My first message to everyone is to spread love and peace and unity because that is the most important thing that we do as of the moment and what’s happening in the world right now,” said Ravena who wore a glittery-silver evening gown.

Fuschia Anne Ravena, who hails from Cebu city, is the third Filipina to win the pageant. Before her, Kevin Balot won in 2012 and Tixia Maristela took the crown in 2015. She dedicates her winner to her mother, died in January 2021. Her parents have always been very supportive of her ans encouraged her to pursue her aspirations throughout her life.

Ravena completed her high school in Cebu. She began modeling when she was in her teens. She took part in a variety of fashion events. She is not stranger to pageantry. In 2018, she selected as a Super Sireyna candidate. She named grand finalists with Anne Patricia Lorenzo. She won the first Miss International Queen Philippines 2022.
