New Jersey wins the title of Mrs. American

Trenette Norris was crowned Mrs. American 2022 on August 19, 2022 at the West Gate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada. Mrs. New Jersey American 2022 succeeds Mrs American 2021, Rhonda Wofford, and will represent United States at the upcoming edition of Mrs World pageant later this year.

The new Mrs. American is a licensed international travel agent and a small business owner.

Trenette holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis on broadcast journalism from Mississippi State University, and another degree in human behavior with an emphasis on conflict resolution from Texas A&M University.

Her platform “Hunger & Homelessness” advocates for foster children. Her mission is to launch the “The Snow Flake Foundation” whose aim is to provide transitional foster home aimed to provide everything needed for these children to thrive and be successful. She explains “As a former foster child, I know first hand the struggles that foster children face. Also, being the oldest of seven, I experienced hunger and homelessness more often than not before my siblings and I were taken away from our mother and placed in foster care. I want to help as many children as possible. Just like snowflakes, there are no two foster children the same. All children deserve love, dignity, and individual attention so that they can thrive and be successful,” she said.

her ultimate goal is to uplift her community and be a positive influence everyday.

1st runner-up – Krisdee Clark (South Carolina)

2nd runner-up – Stephanie Brode (Ohio)
