Mrs World 2007 supports the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Virtual Breast Cancer Walk

October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with each year being pinker than the last. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all about increasing the awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection. The National Breast Cancer Awareness (NBCAM) program was founded in 1985 by Zeneca. Set up as a weeklong campaign aimed at promoting mammography as the most effective weapon in the fight against breast cancer. The NBCAM has now grown to an international phenomenon, with events and activities each October which increase awareness, and raise funds at the same time.

Diane Hardgrove, Mrs World 2007, has always supported the American Cancer Society. “This is an important cause and has always been my charity platform.  Breast cancer treatments have significantly evolved and a cure is in sight.  Current data shows that 1 in 8 women will contract this disease.  Solving this health problem depends on resources, awareness, and most importantly, involvement. ” She said.

In this month of October, Mrs World 2007 invites you to join her American Cancer Society’s Pink Ribbons Walkers Team! This Team supports the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Virtual Breast Cancer Walk.

“On a personal note, I’ve had family members affected by breast cancer. I am so grateful for your generous support over the years and look forward to continuing the fight toward a cure.  This event honors those who have battled breast cancer, raises awareness to reduce cancer risk, reminds us of the importance to get regular mammograms, and raises money for the American Cancer Society’s fight against the disease,” Diane explain us.
