Miss World Haiti 2021 is…

Erlande Berger was crowned Miss World Haiti 2021 during a final, held on October 3, 2021 at the Karibe Convention Center in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She beaten 7 beautiful girls to win this crown and to succeed to Miss World HAiti 2019 Alysha Morency. The 24-year-old beauty queen earned the opportunity to represent Haiti at the 70th edition of Miss World pageant, to be held on December 16th, 2021 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Born in Port-Salut, a town in the South Department where she grew up in a single-parent family since her father refused to take responsibility. In the meantime, his mother, according to him, a “sòyèt”, a “madan sara”, an activist, has given herself body and soul to ensure that her protege is provided for. After her classical studies when she was still only 19 years old, passionate about the desire to pursue her goals, her dreams, Erlande had to leave her hometown to go to Port-au-Prince. During that same year, she started studying economics at Quisqueya University, forced by the insecurity situation she was forced to drop out to later enroll in ISNAC where the girl obtains a diploma in French communication. Erlande also dreams of studying International Relations.

In addition, Erlande is present in the business world, investing in several companies, one of which, Casana Cosmetics, which is under his management. The one who presents herself as a fighter, a determined girl ready to fight to achieve her goals, falls her passage in this competition to a dream she cherished since childhood but also the desire to expand her projects. She intends to lead her advocacy for better supervision of destitute children and orphans. Erlande Berger is providing education for 5 destitute children who will have the chance to aspire to a better life.

For the new Miss World Haiti 2021, her participation in this contest has changed a lot of things at home, improved many others. Proud to be the country’s new ambassador, she salutes the collaboration she has had with other competitors. “Not only am I very proud but also very surprised. Surprised at the lack of experience I had compared to other competitors but I have to say that my self-confidence took over and kept me fighting throughout the competition. I have always been ready to improve myself, to listen to the advice of others. This result is the fruit of enormous sacrifices, sleepless nights, a lot of prayers too … “, rejoices Erlande Berger who says he is in preparation with the organization Miss Haiti for the next step.

The 2021 Miss Haiti’s court includes Fabienne V. Auguste et Samanta César as first and second runners-up respectively.
