Miss Utah County crowned Miss Utah 2022
Lindsey Larsen was crowned Miss Utah 2022 during the pageant, held at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City on June 11, 2022. Miss Utah County bested forty-one other candidates to succeed Miss Utah 2021,Sasha Sloan, and to represent the Mormon State at the Miss America Competition later this year.With this crown, she received the preliminary red carpet award and a $100 scholarship sponsored by Ypsilon Dresses. She also received the overall interview award and a $200 scholarship sponsored by Rachel Scott. Along with the title of Miss Utah 2022 and a $10,000 scholarship, Murdock Hyundai gave her the keys to a brand new car for the year.
“I have dreamt of this moment, and I feel like I’m dreaming right now. This is such an honor – I’m so excited to represent and serve the state. I’m going to get started tomorrow!” said Larsen moments after her crowning.
Her social impact initiative is “The MOVEMENT Movement.” Part of Larsen’s social impact initiative includes working with special needs children and adults. “It’s been an honor to work with individuals with special needs. I run an adaptive dance class with Special Olympics and sharing my love of dance with my students has been such a joy,” said Lindsey. “They are so excited to come to class and bring such a light and positive energy every week.”
Hailing from Lehi, Larsen is studying ballet performance and kinesiology at the University of Utah and is an aspiring professional ballerina, artistic director, and health educator.
Larsen served as Miss Lehi in 2019 and 2020 and Miss Utah County in 2021.
The 2022 Miss Utah’s court includes:
1st Runner-up – Miss Greater Salt Lake, Katie Ann Powell received a $4,000 scholarship;
2nd Runner-up – Miss Salt Creek, Austri Ekker received a $3,000 scholarship;
3rd Runner-up – Miss North Ogden, Ryleigh Paulin received a $2,000 scholarship;
4th Runner-up – Miss Zion, Jordyn Bristol received a $1,000 scholarship.
