Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 selects top 50 contestants

The top fifty contestants of Flora Bank Miss Universe 2020, have been selected.  According to Miss Universe Bangladesh organisers, the competition saw a total of 9,256 registrations this year. Of the total registrations, around 500 participants got calls for the audition round. Top 50 were selected through a live audition on February 11.  A virtual audition for contestants from outside the country was held on February 13, following an assessment on beauty, education, talent, analytical power and other selective indicators.

Of the top 50, the best 20 contestants will go through a rigorous grooming session from February 20. Mentors will prepare them for the final round, focusing on different skill sets.

Bangladeshi Flag Girl Priota Iftekhar (Miss Culture Worldwide 2018), Fashion Designer Shahrukh Amin, Fashion Editor of ICE Today Gautam Saha and 2019 Miss Universe Bangladesh First Runner-up Alisha Islam were judges of the audition round.

According to the organiser, the winners of this beauty contest will aim to contribute to various fields of social development from their social responsibility.

Shafiqul Islam, National Director of Miss Universe Bangladesh, said “The number of talented participants increased this year, compared to the previous edition.”

Musician and actor Tahsan Rahman Khan and model and actor Bidya Sinha Mim will be the Judges of the final round of Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020. According to the organisers, the grand finale will be held on March 20, in Dhaka.

The winner of the Flora Bank Miss Universe 2020 will be the representative of Bangladesh in the 69th Miss Universe 2020 pageant to be held in the United States in May, and will be our country’s ambassador on a global stage.
