Miss Mahébourg crowning Miss Maurice 2023

Nilmani Devi Hurlall was crowned Miss Maurice 2023 at the Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel in Belle-Mare on June 25, 2022. Miss Mahébourg bested 20 others candidates to win this crown and to succeed Alexandrine Belle-Etoile, Miss Universe Mauritius 2021. After winning the grand prize of Rs 100,000 sponsored by Uwellness Spa, Nilmani Devi Hurlall, will have the chance to parade at New York Fashion Week in Manhattan in September and compete in other international competitions. Namely, this competition opens the top 3 to three other International competitions. “We are going to evaluate Miss Nilmani Devi Hurlall and the two runners-up, Hurlall Karishma and Tatiana Beauharnais before placing them in the other three competitions and ensuring their training”, tells us the Director, Nevin Rupear. The international pageants are Miss Universe, Miss Asia Pacific International and Miss Supranational.

Devi Hurlall is currently pursuing a diploma in Vocal Hindustani and working part-time as a voice actress and journalist. Her ambition is to become a well-known radio jockey and presenter, as well as a part-time vocal teacher, to pass on her experience and knowledge. Her message is to “always have self-confidence”.

This 23-year-old young woman is also enjoys nature and animals. She is also a great admirer of beaches and waterfalls since it’s her favorite spot to recharge when she feels down. Devi Hurlall was also the member of the National Youth and Civic Service where she was able to build skills which increased her confidence and resilience.

1st runner-up – Hurlall Karishma (Miss New Grove)

2nd runner-up – Tatiana Beauharnais (Miss Souillac)
