Miss Grand International 2020 – Activities continue
Miss Grand International 2020 pre-pageant activities continue with today’s visit to the beautiful Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of Emerald Buddha).
Wat Phra Kaew is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. The complex consists of a number of buildings within the precincts of the Grand Palace in the historical center of Bangkok. It houses the statue of the Emerald Buddha, which is venerated as the country’s palladium.
The contestants looked stunning in their traditional Thai costumes as they were photographed at the temple with the reigning Miss Grand International Valentina Figuera of Venezuela.
Then, at the Tourism Authority of Thailand headquarters, in Bangkok, the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, welcomed the 2020 Miss Grand International candidates. He spoke to them saying that Thailand is ready to welcome tourists who follow the country’s careful protocols and wished them all a great stay in the Land of Smiles.
