Manita Hang is Miss Universe Cambodia 2022

Hang Manita was crowned Miss Universe Cambodia 2022 during the finals of Miss Universe Cambodia, held at the Bayon TV Steung Meanchey Studio in the capital city of Phnom Penh on June 15, 2022. French-Cambodian fashion model bested 19 others beauty queens to succeed to Miss Universe Cambodia 2021, Marady Ngin and to become the official representative of Cambodia at the  upcoming Miss Universe 2022 pageant which will be held later this year. The coronation known a moment of confusion, the first runner-up thought she was the winner after misreading her sash.

Hailing from Phnom Penh, Manita Hang has established herself as a successful model in Burma. She began her schooling at Lyçée Français René Descartes. The 23 year old graduated from CamEd Business School in Phnom Penh with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.. Her father is French while her mother is Cambodian. Manita Hang speaks several languages including Khmer, French and English.

She is no stranger in the world of international competition. In 2016, she represented Cambodia at the Miss Tourism Metropolitan International where she finished as second runner-up. The winner of the pageant was Amanda Obdam of Thailand who became Miss Universe Thailand 2020.
