Lucy Thomson crowned Miss Scotland 2022

Lucy Sophia Thomson was crowned Miss Scotland 2022 at the end of the pageant, held on July 29, 2022 at The Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. After a rigorous casting which involved hundreds of glam girls from across the nation, 11 young women tried to vie and succeed Miss Scotland 2021, Claudia Todd. The representative of Fife will now represent Scotland at the next edition of Miss World pageant, whose date and location is yet to be announced.

The 23-year-old native from Dunfermline graduated in 2020. She is active in her community and even started her own charity, The BRAvery Trust, in 2020. This is a non-profit organisation working to provide underwear and menstrual products to people in need, people living in period poverty. The BRAvery Trust also aims to educate people on menstrual health and hygeine, and discuss the importance of self-checking for any signs of body irregularities.

The newly crowned Miss Scotland is also a part of the Scottish Fashion Association and works as an ambassador for Revolve.

She is not a newbie to pageantry. She was previously in the running for the Miss Scotland 2019 title.
