Lindsey Sharpless is the first Miss Texas Volunteer 2021

Lindsey Sharpless was crowned the first Miss Texas Volunteer at the end of the finals, held on July 3rd, 2021 at the Allen ISD Performing Arts Center, Allen, Texas. She earned the right to represent the Lone Star State at the inaugural edition of Miss Volunteer America, to be held in May 2022 in Jackson, TN.

The 21-year-old beauty queen is graduated from the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business with a degree in Business Management. She also a dancer and a dance teacher. She has been dancing since birth, since her mother owns her own dance studio. On her own webiste, she said « I have been dancing for 21 years, which has led me to be a dance teacher for ages 3-18. Teaching has given me many opportunities to be a role model for young kids. Here, I encourage them to be the best inside and out and to dream bigger than the stars. ». Her talent is a tap dancing.

Lindsey advocates about domestic violence through her social impact “Love Shouldn’t Hurt.” This program teaches children how to recognize, develop, and maintain a quality relationship with their peers, which can be taken with them in their everyday lives. She also created  Dance-For-A-Cause workshops. This has allowed children to escape into their own world of expression, while benefiting Children’s Miracle Network and Domestic Violence Shelters. The gift of dance is not only a talent, but a blessing that I love to share with others.

She is not a newbie in pageantry. She was Miss Park Cities 2020, a preliminary for Miss Texas pageant. She finished 4th runner-up at the 2021 Miss Texas pageant.

During this night, Mia Donato was crowned Miss Texas Teen Volunteer.
