Lara Dutta Bhupathi raises $ 1 million for COVID-19 relief through ‘I Breathe For India’; expresses gratitude
Miss Universe 2002 and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta thanked everyone as she managed to raise $ 1 million through her campaign to raise funds for COVID-19 relief work. She shared hers joy and a picture of the virtual fundraiser on hers social media.
‘I Breathe For India’ virtual fundraiser was hosted by Shayamal and Lara for Give India, in association with TIE Global.Many Beauty queens like Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Manushi Chhillar, Urvashi Rautela, Jacqueline Fernendez, Pooja Chopra, and others have come forward to contribute in order to help aid people crippled by the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
With 2,76,110 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, India’s tally of COVID-19 cases climbed to 2,57,72,440 while the daily deaths were recorded below 4,000 after four days, taking the count to 2,87,122, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India is likely to decline by July this year, while the third wave is expected to hit the country in about six to eight months, according to the Department of Science and Technology under the Science Ministry of the Government of India.
