Halima Ahmad Kopwe crowned Miss Tanzania 2022

Halima Ahmad Kopwe was crowned Miss Tanzania 2022 at the end of the final, held on May 20, 2022 at Mlimani City Conference Hall, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The former Miss Mtwara bested 19 other candidates to succeed Miss Tanzania 2021, Juilana Rugumisa, and to earn the opportunity to represent her country at the next edition of Miss World pageant, later this year.

Speaking to reporters after being crowned the winner, Halima Kopwe expressed her sincere gratitude to the organizers of the competition. To her competitors she urged them not to be discouraged to keep trying again and again saying she participated for the first time in 2018 where he did not win but she learned a lot and now she has emerged the winner.

She is Mother & Child health advocate and works as Program Manager at Mirakel Foundation, Mirakel Consultancy, Spearhead Mbmg Movement My_Blood_My_Generation.

When asked how she plans to spend the money she won, Halima said she would invest in improving herself as a flag bearer for the Tanzanian national flag in the Miss World pageant. “I want to prepare well so that when I get there I will not be a participant but a competitor.” are the words of Halima Kopwe.
