Cuba wins Mister Supranational 2022
Luis Daniel Galvez was crowned Mister Supranational 2022 in ceremonies staged at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland, on July 16, 2022. The representative of Cuba bested 33 other aspirants in the sixth edition of the Mister Supranational pageant to inherit the title from Varo Vargas of Peru. Like Miss Supranational pageant the day before, where South Africa’s Lalela Mswane became the first woman from her country and the first woman of colour to win the crown, the new Mister Supranational made history by becoming the first ever representative from cuba and winning the crown supreme from the first participation of this country in the pageant. After his crowning, Gálvez expressed his joy of representing not only his country “but all Cubans who walk the world looking for the longing of their heart and their goals.“
According to his biography, the 27-year-old model lives in Miami since 2013 when he emigrated from Havana, where he was born. He lived in Mexico for a year after going into exile in the United States. The new Mister Supranational helps children with autism in Miami.
The 2022 Mister Supranational’s court includes :

3rd runner-up – Moises Peñaloza (Mexico)
4th runner-up – Heriberto Rivera (Puerto Rico)
