Caroline Teixeira is the new Miss Brasil Mundo 2021

Caroline Teixeira was crowned Miss Brasil Mundo 2021 (aka Miss World Brazil 2021) at the end of a private ceremony held on August 19th, 2021 due to the COVID19 restrictions. The representative of the Federal District succeeds Miss Brasil Mundo 2019 Elis Miele for this crown and will  represent Brazil at Miss World 2021 at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 16, 2021.

In 2018, Caroline was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but soon after she started her treatment and practiced street races, which helped her to overcome several obstacles and challenge herself daily. Amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020, she worked as a volunteer at Formiguinhas do Bem do Brasil, an institute that helps vulnerable children and young people.

Caroline is no stranger to beauty pageants, as she was Miss Brasilia 2020 and shared that after she discovered that beauty pageants involve several areas, not only the fashion world but also stimulate the support and participation of everyone involved in social causes, which was what delighted her the most. Talking about her experience at Miss Brasilia 2020, she shared, “It is an experience that elevates you on many levels, including the spiritual. There are events, social projects, and various activities that involve not only physical beauty, but everyday life, what we eat, wear, and watch. In short, these are intense activities. “

According to Caroline’s father, public servant Carlos Teixeira, the daughter’s greatest quality is far from being her beauty. “Caroline is very dedicated and persistent. More than that, she is excited about life. He masterfully executes everything he sets out to do, “he shares. He also shared that his daughter loves to help others, but her philanthropic side intensified after her cancer. Giving visibility to social projects was what awakened in her the desire to be a beauty queen.

The 2021 Miss Brasil Mundo’s court includes:

First princess – Alina Furtado (Miss Rio Grande do Sul)

Second princess – Gabriela Botelho (Miss Espírito Santo)
