Brynn String crowned Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen 2022
Brynn String has been crowned Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen 2022 at the end of the pageant, held on April 24 at the Milton Theatre. She bested 7 other candidates to succeed Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen 2021, Haley Alexander and to become the official representative of her state at the upcoming edition of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant, to be held in August 2022. The date and the venue are not yet confirmed.
The 14-year-old native of Felton is a freshman at Lake Forest High School in Felton. Brynn is on both the varsity field hockey and soccer teams at Lake Forest. She is also the class treasurer. A pre-professional student at the Tatiana Akinfieva Dance Academy, Brynn trains in ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance. She is a senior company member of Diamond Dance Company and plays for the Blue Fusion travel field hockey team.
Brynn loves doing volunteer work and is currently working with a United Soccer team at Lake Forest Central Elementary. Brynn is the founder of Masks From the Heart, for which she received a 2021 Governor’s Youth Volunteer Award. She plans to pursue a degree in physical therapy and work as a pediatric physical therapist, specializing in children with disabilities.
Brynn’s mother Aimee is a former Miss Delaware, having won the title in 1996.
