Binibining Pilipinas takes the social media crown
More than a month after the grand coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2021, the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant continues to excite netizens with its activities to look forward to.
Binibining Pilipinas officially breached the million mark on Facebook as of August 23, and has now reached 1.3 million followers.
With the pageant’s increase in online content this year with exciting offers for netizens, other platforms also continue to increase in traction. Binibining Pilipinas Instagram page reached 246,000 followers, Twitter page has more than 56,000 followers, YouTube channel has more than 90,000 subscribers, and the newly-created TikTok page has more than 36,000 followers.
“In a time when pageantry has evolved and modernized, we want to give the pageant community the best that Binibining Pilipinas can offer. We keep up with the times by delivering quality entertainment, yet remaining to give voice to our Binibinis and talk about current issues, digitally,” according to Irene Jose, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) board member.
Binibining Pilipinas continues to post recaps of this year’s first-of-its-kind live coronation telecast, and the latest updates from the Binibini queens — from their photoshoots and media guestings, charity works, advocacy campaigns, activities with sponsors, and preparations for upcoming international pageants.
Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Cinderella Obenita will compete in Egypt on October 29, while Binibining Pilipinas Globe Maureen Montagne will compete in Albania on November 5. Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Samantha Panlilio will take part in their respective pageants before the end of the year.
