Barbara Cabrera appointed Miss Universo Argentina 2022.

The Miss Universe Argentina organization has announced on its social media that Bárbara Cabrera has been appointed as Miss Universe Argentina 2022. She succeed Miss Universe Argentina 2021 Julieta García who competed at Miss Universe 2021 but remained unplaced.  Cabrera will be representing Argentina in the upcoming edition of Miss Universe pageant, to be held on January 14, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The newly crowned Miss Universe Argentina works as textile entrepreneur, but also as professional model.  She began her modeling career at the academy of the former model Anamá Ferreira. At age 20 she moved to Panama, where she joined the Panama Talents agency. She paraded in the fashion week in Panama 2017 and in different campaigns and parades in Latin America, returning to Argentina to join the agency Multitalent, being selected by the Catalan designer Custo Dalmau for the closing of the event “Custo Barcelona” in the framework of the New York Fashion Week 2020.

The native from Buenos Aires is not newbie to pageantry. She was selected at the age of 18 to represent the province of Buenos Aires in the Miss Universe Argentina 2018 pageant, remaining a finalist. She represented Argentina at the Miss Eco International 2021 pageant where she finished among the Top 16. She bagged the Best in Evening Gown award.
