Cassidy Jo Jacks, an Alabama native, was crowned Miss Arizona USA on Sunday, June 11, 2021 at the Higley Performing Arts Center in Gilbert. The Miss Usery Mountain succeeded Miss Arizona USA 2020, Yesenia Vidales, for the title and will represent The Grand Canyon State at the 70th edition of Miss USA pageant, to be held on November 29, 2021, at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the USA where she earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations and communication studies. Jacks has lived in Arizona since 2018. She currently works at LabCorp in Phoenix.
Cassidy is not a newbie to the world of beauty pageants as she was Miss Tuscaloosa 2014, later crowned Miss Metropolitan 2015 in Alabama. Jacks, who is originally from Springville, once served as Miss Trussville. She said that experience helped prepare her for much more than pageants. “I’ve used the skills that I have learned in all aspects of my life,” Jacks told The Tribune before the pageant. “It molded me into the confident, caring, and driven woman that I am today. Everything I learned during my year as Miss Trussville has prepared me for this moment!” When serving as Miss Trussville 2016, Jacks was second-runner up in the Miss Alabama competition and she placed first in the talent portion of the competition. Her community service also helped her to place as first-runner up for the Miss Alabama Community Service Award. She was highly appreciated for her performance throughout the competition at Miss Alabama 2017 where she represented Miss Iron City but unfortunately was unplaced.
The beauty queen started volunteering for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2011 and in 2014 she founded Feed a Soul, Fill a Heart, and joined Feeding America as a fundraising volunteer. She worked for Rose + Moser + Allyn Public and Online Relations as a public relaxation account coordinator in Scottsdale, Maricopa County in 2018. Cassidy explains that experience helped prepare her for much more than pageants.
