Andreína Martinez is Miss República Dominicana Universo 2021

Andreína Martinez, representing the Dominican community in the USA, was crowned Miss República Dominicana Universo 2021 during the finals held November 7 at the Sambil Events Room. She bested 14 other candidates for the title and succeeded 2020 titleholder Kimberly Jiménez, who placed fourth runner-up at the 69th Miss Universe. Andreína will represent the country at the 70th edition of the Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December.

The 24-year-old beauty queen holds a bachelor in psychology and Latin American.  She currently works as coordinator of Women’s Equality Center. She is fluent in English and Spanish and plays volleyball and softball. She aims to work to promote Dominican women and girls, instilling motivational values to get ahead; and showing with her work that there are no limits for any woman.

The 2021 Miss Dominican Republic’s court includes –

First runner-up – Debbie Jochabed Áflalo Vargas of Azua

Second runner-up – Yamilex Hernández del Orbe of La Vega

Third runner-up – Elianny Capellán of Samana

Fourth runner-up – Érika del Carmen Silverio Capellán of La Romana
