And Miss Universe Thailand 2021 is…
Anchilee Scott-Kemmis was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2021 at the end of the finals, held on October 25, 2021 at the Scala Theatre in Nong Nooch Tropical Garden of the Pattaya, Convention and Exhibition Center. Beating 29 other contestants, the 22-year-old beauty queen succeeds last year’s winner and Miss Universe Top 10 finalist, Amanda Obdam. The new Miss Universe Thailand will now prepare to represent her country at the 70th Miss Universe pageant to be held in Eilat, Israel this December.
Anchilee shared her joy on social media shortly after winning her title.

After being crowned, Anchilee happily told reporters she was proud to represent Thai women and was grateful for all the support.
“Since participating in the contest, I have been proud to represent women. I am not worried about being bullied due to my figure. The question part of the pageant did not scare me as I always respond with honesty. I believe my willpower and sincerity won me the crown. The best part is that I can make my parents proud,” Anchilee said.
Hailing for Chachoengsao, Thailand, the Thai-Australian model and social researcher holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Sydney. Until 2017, she attended NIST International School in Watthana District, Bangkok. She was the captain of the school’s volleyball team.
Scott-Kemmis is a body positivity advocate. She is redefining Thailand’s beauty standards by celebrating diversity and individuality through her online social movement #RealSizeBeauty. The movement came out of her own experience of being body-shamed and being told to lose 10kg of weight for a casting call at the age of 13.
“I think it will empower women, particularly Thai women, by really showing how liberating it is, once you accept yourself for who you are and celebrate your individuality,” she was quoted by Thai PBS World.
The 2021 Miss Universe Thailand’s court includes Tharina Botes and Nanthiya Suwansawaeng as first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kasama Suetrong and Pimnara Vonzurmuehlen completed the Top 5 finalists.
