An ordinary boy from a village wins Muž roku 2022

Matěj Švec was crowned Muž roku 2022 on August 26, 2022 in Náchod. He bested 11 other finalists to succeed Muž roku 2021, Lukáš Vyšehrad and to become the official country’s representative at the next edition of Mister International, which will take place later this year.

Matěj works as fitness trainer from Velešín, and is a co-owner of a gym in Český Krumlov. Among his biggest hobbies is soccer, which he plays at a semi-professional level. He likes to go for walks in nature together with his four-legged friend and in general heis life revolves only around sports, good friends and family. As far as company is concerned, he likes fun, spontaneous ideas and sometimes he goes for “one” drink.

He was entered into the competition by his mother and friends and he is said to be just an ordinary boy from the village. But definitely not now. The times when tattoos were such a negative that gentlemen with large tattoos did not have a chance to place on the top positions in beauty contests are gone. The proof is the current winner of the Muž rok pageant!

“I am happy, but I wished it to each of the boys,” says the native of Velešín, who awaits a number of duties associated with the competition and also the representation of the Czech Republic at the international competition Mr. International. “I’m ready to take the time to do it and I admit there will be a big problem with English,” he admitted self-critically.

2nd runner-up or Mister Global Czech 2022 – Leon Vonaký (Chomutov)

3rd runner-up or Mister Grand Czech 2022 – Denys Poljanskvj (Hořovice)

4th runner-up or Mister Tourism World Czech 2022 –  Philipp Stoimenov (Ostrava)

5th runner-up or Man of the World Czech 2023 – Honza “Jan” Balšán (Praha)
