Sophiya Bhujel crowned Oriflame Miss Universe Nepal 2022

Sophiya Bhujel was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2022 during the pageant, held August 25, 2022 at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.The 26-year-old beauty  bested 19 other finalists to succeed Miss Universe Nepal 2021, Sujita Basnet. She will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022, whose date and venue are yet to be announced. Along with the title of Miss Universe 2022, Sophia received Rs 1 million and other prizes.

The native from Kathmandu holds a degree in business management.

The newly crowned Miss Universe Nepal is no stranger to pageantry. She joined Miss Nepal 2019, where she placed in the Top 7, and also represented Nepal in some international contests. On November 21, 2019, she represented Nepal at Global Asian Model 2019 at The Cove Theatre of Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She finished in the Top 10. On March 17, 2022, she represented Nepal at Miss Eco International 2022 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Jolie Ville Resort & SPA kings Island Luxor in Luxor, Egypt. She finished in the Top 21.
