Crown Up ! - International
Miss World Australia 2022 is …
After two years of lockdown because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Miss World Australia finally returns to find the 2021/22 winner. The contestants have endured event postponements, some having to compete online.
Kristen Wright was crowned Miss World Australia at a ceremony held at the Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast on April 29, 2022. A biomedical science student from Victoria will represent Australia at the next edition of Miss World pageant later this year. The 23-year-old bested 24 others beautiful girls to succeed Miss World Australia 2019, Sarah Marschle.
After winning the crown, Kristen said she felt “overwhelmed. But I’m absolutely honoured to have the title and I hope to do Australia proud at the international competition.” “Now I realise this contest is an opportunity for women to come together and create something meaningful and longstanding, and that’s priceless,” she added.
Kristen is a certified scuba diving instructor with more than 36 certifications in the field and she also one of youngest qualified scuba instructors in Victoria.
The 2022 Miss World Australia’s court includes:
