Anna Leitch was crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2021

Anna Leitch was crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2021 at the end of the gala, held on September 6th, 2021 at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.  The 27-year-old beauty queen beaten 22 other beautiful girls to win the crown and succeeded Miss Northern Ireland 2019 Lauren Leckey. She earned the opportunity to represent  Northern Ireland at Miss World 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico in December 2021.

I’ve always wanted this – as the competition went on I just was getting more and more into it and I had a real drive and passion and I really really want to become Miss Northern Ireland. It just feels so amazing and I’m still waiting for it to sink in a little bit but hopefully that will come in time,” Leitch was quoted by Belfast Live.

Hailing from Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Anna is a Northern Irish teacher.  In 2016, she started working for the Southern Education and Library Board (SELB) as a primary school teacher. While her reigning as Miss World Northern Ireland 2021, she is completing her master’s degree in leadership at Queen’s University Belfast in Belfast.

She is passionate about promoting positive mental health and well-being.

The 2021 Miss Northern Ireland’s court includes

1st runner-up – Ruth Armstrong from Crumlin

2nd runner-up – Bernadette Hagans from Belfast.
