Yasmin Teles is the new Miss Brasil CBN Teen
Yasmin Teles was crowned Miss Brasil CBN Teen 2021 after weeks of competition in a 100% online contest. The representative of Ipiranga (SP) succeeded Maria Eduarda Valotto, who moved everyone with her farewell speech. She will soon be crowned with the exclusive piece created by Tiago Seixas. She will also receive R$ 3000 in cash, a wardrobe by the Menina Catarina brand, a dress and typical costume signed by Samuel Teixeira, from Samteshy, to compete abroad, a trip, a public speaking course with Romilce Colombo, besides, of course , to represent Brazil at the upcoming edition of Miss Teen Mundial, to be held in El Salvador, in September.
The 17 -year-old beauty queen is a student in second year of high school. Yasmin grew up in the Tiradentes community, located in the east of the city of São Paulo. She enjoys playing sports, especially volleyball: in tournaments she competed in, she has already won a gold and silver medal.
The beauty pageant 100% online included 8 chapters and many challenges faced by 25 young people from across Brazil. In the finals, the 6 finalists had speeches about bullying in schools and what they would do to change this situation: “If we can sell products and influence people on our social networks, why not raise awareness and report on such aggression? As a child I was a victim of bullying and it took me a while to change my view of myself. The gaze of the other is important for us to create beliefs about ourselves. Bullying made me a stronger person and today I feel able to help other people in this situation”, said Teles in his speech.
Thrilled, the young representative of the traditional São Paulo neighborhood couldn’t hold back her tears when Argentine presenter Nicolás Trock announced her name as the winner of the year. “For some time I thought I was dreaming! The record is still falling, but I can say I’m very happy!”, reveals the smiling girl who wants to be a doctor and an international model.
The Yasmin’s court includes Kah Barreta, representative of Greater São Paulo as first princess and vice-miss Brazil CNB Teen 2021, and Mariana Barbosa Campos, from Bahia as second princess. Camila Almeida, from São Paulo won the Miss Popularity award
The project was conceived by Marina Fontes, co-director of CNB, and produced in Argentina, by Nadia Cerri’s team, N Entertainment. “It was an intense week and a lot of emotions were experienced. The 25 candidates have done an incredible job and they fill us with pride. We are sure that Yasmin will be an excellent Miss Brasil CNB Teen, taking a little bit of each of the participants wherever she goes”, commented Marina. The permanent judges of the competition were Catharina Choi Nunes, Caroline Colombo, Paulo Filho, Nadia Cerri and Maria Eduarda Valotto.
