Tumateata Buisson is the new Miss Tahiti
Tumateata Buisson was crowned Miss Tahiti 2021 during a gala, held on June 25, 2021 in the gardens of the town hall of Papeete. She suceeded Matahari Bousquet, Miss Tahiti 2019, the year 2020 having no candidate because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Born to a mother of Tahitian origin and a French and Chinese father, Tumateata Buisson, 24, is a pure fruit of crossbreeding. She is the last of four siblings. She grew up in the islands and continued her education there. In terms of studies, she obtained a professional license in the field of marketing and social networks. After losing one of his older brothers several years ago, his mother also died. Determined to pay homage to them, the young woman decides to embark on the adventure of Miss Tahiti. “Miss Tahiti is much more than an opportunity, it is really an opportunity to pay tribute to her and to make her wish come true.
