2022 Miss North Dakota crowned

Sidni Kast was crowned Miss North Dakota 2022 on June 11, 2022, at Bakken Elementary Auditorium Williston. She competed against 12 other contestants and succeeds Miss North Dakota 2021, Reyna Bergstrom. Miss Grand Forks will go on to represent the Peace Garden State at the Miss America Competition in December. She won also the talent award during the preliminary.

The native from Minot said the moment her name was called “breathtaking,” and one she will not forget. She says when she competed in the past, she did not find the success she wanted because she was trying to fill a role of what she thought she should be when the only person she needed to be was herself.

Her social impact initiative is called “The One Body Movement,” focusing on personal health and the importance of taking care of oneself. “It’s very, very important that our youth understands that it doesn’t matter what you look like, as long as you take care of yourself and are confident in yourself, that’s all that should matter,” said Kast.
