Paige Clark crowned Miss Tennessee Volunteer

Paige Clark was crowned Miss Tennessee Volunteer 2023 on June 18, 2022, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, Tennessee. Beating 35 other young women, Miss Knoxville succeeds the last year’s titleholder Amelia Collins and will represent the Volunteer State at the next edition of Miss Volunteer America pageant, to be held on June 21-24, 2023, in Jackson. With the crown and the Talent awards, she won more than $11,000 in college scholarships, which she will use to further her education.

Pageant co-executive director Emily Anne Sparks said Clark impressed the judges in all four categories of the competition, including private interview, lifestyle, fitness and talent and evening gown. “She won the judges heart through all aspects of the competition throughout the week,” Sparks said.

During her reign, the newly crowned Miss Tennessee Volunteer serves as the Governor’s official spokesperson for Character Education. For her school tour, she will champion the character trait “Respect.

Clark graduated of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She works as practicing pediatric nurse pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Acute and Primary Care Pediatrics at the John’s Hopkins University.

A trained clogger with more than 19 years of experience dancing, she has worked for 4 years as a professional clogger at The Comedy Barn Theater and Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She was also featured on NBC’s College Bowl Season 1 with Peyton Manning.

Her platform is “Spark: Serving the Underserved.” It is all about uplifting our underserved communities and creating a spark. She brings to life through experiences as a COVID-19 nurse at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Representing the service-oriented mission of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer program, she has spent hundreds of hours serving organizations in and around her hometown of Knoxville. This includes nearly 300 volunteer hours at The Wesley House, an underserved community center for children.

The 2023 Miss Tennessee Volunteer’s court includes

1st runner-up – Kailyn Maclin (Miss Memphis)

2nd runner-up – Dezirey Simono (Miss Davidson)

3rd runner-up – Noelle Thompson (Miss Queen City)

4th runner-up – Carsyn Hughes (Miss Nashville)
