New York wins Miss Black USA 2022

Tahira Gilyard was crowned Miss Black USA 2022 at the end of the broadcast pageant, held on August 7, 2022 at the Performing Arts Theater of University of District of Columbia in Washington. Miss Black New York USA bested 25 other candidates to win this crown and to succeed Miss Black USA 2021, Myja Gary.

The newly crowned Miss Black USA graduated in Bachelor of Science in criminal Justice at the St John’s University in 2021. She studies now at the Fordham University School of Law. She also works as model and dancer.

She is a great veteran in pageantry. A photo is better than a very long list of his many titles. Among the most important titles of her career, we note America’s Miss National Teen 2017/2018, and World Perfect Teen 2018.

The 2022 Miss Black USA’s court includes:

1st runner-up – Maya Rose Philips (North Carolina)

2nd runner-up – Tiera Williams (New Jersey)

3th runner-up – Kyara Murray (Texas)

4th runner-up – Demetria Snorton (Kentucky)
