Malou Peters crowned Miss Danmark 2022

Malou Posborg Peters was crowned Miss Danmark 2022 (aka Miss Denmark 2022) on August 28, 2022 at the Shiny Star in Valby, Copenhagen. The native from Naestved bested 32 other delegates to succeed the last year’s titleholder, Johanne Grundt Hansen and to become the official country’s representative at the 2022 edition of Miss Universe pageant, to be held on January 14, 2023, in New Orleans, United States.

The 22-year-old newly crowned Miss Danmark attended Zealand Business College in Ringsted, Zealand where she studied commerce, international economics and marketing from 2019 to 2022. Amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which started in 2020, she worked as an employee of Hunkemöller, a global, omnichannel retailer specializing in lingerie and related products, and also as a substitute teacher in a primary school.

When asked what beauty is to her, Malou answered, “Beauty for me is being able to show empathy for other people. I think that the fundamentals of beauty is to be able to possess qualities such as being present and meeting other people at eye level. I believe that the most important thing about beauty is that actions and thoughts come from a loving place, within the individual. As well as having the will to want to make a difference for other people who need help.“
