Kathleen Coffre crowned Miss Mundo Panama 2022

Kathleen Pérez Coffre was crowned Miss Mundo Panama 2022 at the end of the final, held on April 25, 2022 at the Balboa Theater in Panama City. The Miss Bocas del Toros also won the Beach Body award at the preliminary gala. She will represent her country at the next edition of Miss World pageant later this year. She succeeds Miss Mundo Panama 2021 Krysthelle Barretto who competed at Miss World 2021 but could not place in the Top 40.

After her crowning, she shared her joy on her social media.

“One day a girl from a banana farm in Changuinola, Bocas del Toro thought of being Miss Panama and learned that in order for her thoughts to crystallize she had to confess it with her mouth, so she began to say “I am going to be Miss Panama.” The girl knocked on many doors to make her dream a reality and finally at 22 years old she achieved it. This is the story of Kathleen Pérez Coffre who has traveled this wonderful path to today fulfill her dream and humbly accept to represent her country. She fills me with pride in being the first Bocatoreña to have that distinction, but I understand that today I am no longer Miss Bocas del Toro and now I am Miss Panama. To all my countrymen I promise a total dedication to represent them as they deserve. Today I declare myself a happy woman for this success and I open the doors for more satisfaction and to receive all her support.“

She works as a volunteer at Yo Pinto Una Sonrisa, a non-government organization.

The 2022 Miss Mundo Panama’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Diana I. Martínez (Penonomé)

2nd Runner-up – Angie Alexandra Paz (Darien)

3rd Runner-up – Chelsea Bailey (Colon)

4th Runner-up – Anyelid Chiffi Herazo (Taboga)
